Sometimes it is more difficult to understand why something worked out successfully than why something didn’t work out at all... We put ourselves to that challenge: researching a very successful change project that implemented a better use of SAP in a large-scale organisation. With an action research in 2006 already was proven that a people-minded approach, genuine interest and a team consistency were crucial success factors. And in an interview in 2008 with the main respondents of this research, we reflected upon the meaning of these words. What does ‘consistent team-authenticity’ actually mean and what contributes to it? This article describes the finding of our search for authenticity.
