Kholiswa Menemene

South Africa

Kholiswa Menemene is a trilingual team player and leader who, after the heady early days gaining basic insight into trade unionism and Cape Town’s Olympic bid, began utilising her studies in Human Resources and in her chosen field.

Kholiswa’s primary experience has been in the innovative environment that is Spier Hotel and Conferencing (Pty) Ltd.  Whilst with Spier she noted how business can implement world class standards without impacting negatively on the environment and engendered environmental sustainability as a matter of course amongst all staff.

As the Head of the Employment Equity Forum and a Champion for Spier values she ensured that another non-financial goal, The People, was upheld by the provision of well researched, relevant ongoing training and the employment of local communities.  This process incorporated guiding and assisting leaders and management in attaining best practice status whilst committing to the ongoing growth and full development of staff.

Her travels in Europe, the United Kingdom and Africa have led her to see the inherent international  commonalities and similarities of the human race.  Simultaneously her upbringing in the New South Africa creates a solid bridge between a traditional Xhosa upbringing and an education and career in multicultural environments.  She implicitly believes that if you want people to work together with a common purpose you need to understand exactly where they’re coming from.  Some say she is an expert in the Dynamics of the Middle.

Ultimately, Kholiswa is known as a calm, natural Facilitator with exceptional listening skills who thrives on coaching at all levels.  She’s a non-judgemental analyst who is truly passionate about  sustainable community and corporate communication, solutions, growth and development.
